The man who claimed he hacked Miley Cyrus’ email account and distributed revealing images of the then 15-year-old star has been arrested on unrelated charges.
Josh Holly, 21, allegedly spent months bragging about his accomplishments concerning the teen pop sensation in 2008, claiming he had stolen semi-nude photos of the star.
Once police obtained enough evidence on Holly, they arrested him and seized his computer to search for any other incriminating matters.
Well, according to TMZ, the police his the jackpot. Unfortunately for Holly, his alleged crimes against Cyrus are nothing compared to the more serious charge of allegedly possessing stolen property with intent to defraud.
Holly is accused of having approximately 200 unauthorized credit-card numbers on his computer.
He was arrested on December 30, 2010 in Nashville, and spent the next four days (seeing in the New Year) in prison.
He was released to his grandmother’s custody and faces a pre-trial hearing on January 12.
According to reports, if convicted, Holly could spend up to 10 years in prison along with paying a hefty fine.
So far there have been no charges filed against him that are related to the hacking of Cyrus’ private emails.
Guess that’s what you get for bragging, Mr Holly!
