LEXINGTON, Ky. – UK quarterback Mike Hartline was arrested on charges of alcohol intoxication, disorderly conduct and failure to notify address change to the department of transportation at 3 a.m. Friday, according to a police report.

According to the report, Hartline was engaged in an active verbal dispute with a female witness on Crescent Avenue. The witness, Samantha Sheeran, said Hartline struck her in the jaw. The report said there was no physical injury, but an assault report was taken. The verbal dispute began in the cab on the way home from Tin Roof bar, according to the police report.

Hartline was released on $235 bail.

“We are in the process of evaluating the situation and we will address that at the appropriate time once all the facts have been gathered,” UK spokesman Tony Neely said.

Neely said there are currently no plans to hold a press conference regarding the incident.

Hartline’s preliminary hearing will be held at 1 p.m. Friday.

Not a good way to end your senior season. After a tumultuous three seasons at UK, Hartline has been nearly perfect this year on the football field. Now you wonder if he will even play in his last game as a member of the program. No word from Joker Phillips in regards to suspensions as of yet. But, this arrest could easily lead to a premature kickoff of the 2011 Kentucky Quarterback Derby.
