Comikaze Expo scheduled on November 5th and 6th and this party is the first of many planned parties throughout the year in anticipation of the convention bringing together comic book, science fiction, horror and fantasy fans to the Los Angeles Convention Center.
This first party honors the cast of the comedic web series, Awkward Embraces, about three young and geeky women and their adventures (and hijinks) while looking for love. In a statement provided to us by Comikaze CEO, Regina Carpinelli she states “We feel that it’s important to support local artists because Comikaze is about embracing Los Angeles culture. Our event is not designed solely for industry people and the hardcore fans, this is a community event. It’s an eclectic mix of geek culture and the Los Angeles lifestyle; we’re creating a red carpet geek event.”
Proceeds from the premiere party will benefit Gamers United, a charity whose mission is to donate video games and comic books to local children’s hospitals for their young patients to enjoy.
“Partnering with Gamers United allows us to help children in need while spreading our love of gaming and comic books,”
