Michelle Obama to Make First Appearance on Fox News

First Lady Michelle Obama is set to make her first appearance on Fox News -- the network that is not shy about sharing its disdain for her husband. But Mrs. Obama will not be talking politics. She will discuss her recently launched "Let's Move" campaign against childhood obesity.

She will appear on "Huckabee" on Saturday, the network confirmed in a news release, which said the First Lady "will also address what life is like in the White House, among other topics." Mrs. Obama couldn't have picked a better host -- Mike Huckabee's own loss of 100 pounds was well documented during his run for the presidency in 2008.

"It is not a left/right, liberal/conservative, Democrat/Republican issue. This is an issue that falls beyond what I call the 'horizontal' issues of left and right and rises to the 'vertical' level of up or down," Huckabee told U.S. News and World Report's "Washington Whispers" blog.

President Obama himself doesn't appear on Democrat-bashing Fox News. He famously snubbed the network last year when he taped interviews with every other network for their Sunday morning news shows.
