Mel Gibson Finishes Interview by Blurting "A**hole"

Mel Gibson just can't keep his mouth from getting him in trouble. The actor seemed annoyed during a satellite interview when a reporter from Chicago pressed him on his personal problems. Gibson told WGN reporter Dean Richards that it was all in the past, and that they should move on. When the interview was over, Gibson said the offending word. Watch it here:

But Gibson says the word was not directed at the reporter. In a text message sent to a Los Angeles reporter, Gibson claimed the insult was aimed at his publicist, who was apparently making faces at the actor off-camera.

So what if Mel said, "A$$hole"? Even if it was directed at the reporter, who can say he didn't deserve it? If a reporter was pressing me on my personal life that I didn't want to share, I'd call him that, too. Why should I worry about someone else's tiny little heart breaking when they obviously didn't care about offending me? And if it was directed at his publicist in jest, I'm sure the author of this article has heard worse on TV. It looks to me like the author of this article is just trying to attack Mel because of something that may have happened in the past. If that kind of language offends you, maybe you shouldn't watch those programs. Words like that aren't just all of a sudden, they've happened before, so toughen up and deal with it. You can't tell people what they can and can not say just because you're offended.
