Media-Seeking Sarah Palin to Blame for Bristol's Problems

As a mom of two teenage boys, I am appalled by the latest news about Bristol Palin and her "babydaddy," Levi Johnston. You probably think I'm judging Bristol for having unprotected premarital sex. Or that I am shocked that Levi basically abandoned his paternal responsibility to gallivant in the shiny lights of Hollywood. Nope: I blame both of their moms.
Levi is saddled with a mom who's addicted to OxyContin, and Bristol has the burden of being the daughter of a megalomaniacal media whore.
What are the odds that either of them was going to grow up to be a stable adult?
The sordid Bristol-Levi saga continues. Just days after announcing that they're engaged for a second time (perhaps due to a reality-show deal?), the couple has once again called it off. This time around, Levi "Can't Keep It in His Pants" Johnston is rumored to have gotten yet another girl pregnant: former girlfriend Lanesia Garcia. No one knows if the story's true or not, but Levi's own sister, Mercede, came to her brother's defense via blog. (Why does she need a blog?!) "My friend Lanesia Garcia is having a baby," Mercede wrote, "and Levi has absolutely NOTHING to do with it."
Could the whole thing get any sleazier? And let's not forget in the midst of all this turmoil that Bristol and Levi have a child they need to be parenting. Good golly, Miss Molly: How's that gonna work out?!
Sadly, we must use this troubled couple as cautionary tale. Whatever Sarah Palin and Sherry Johnston did to raise these kids ... do the opposite!

but to blame Palin for what the media does on their own is stupid. They put her in the spotlight. All she has to do is sneeze and they report it.

When will this nastiness end? Have they no shame? Who will tell the obama's about soap?

So, do all MALE politicians then bear the full burden of blame for their childrens poor decisions?
Or is it only the women/mothers that are at fault?
How many other politician's grandchildren's other parent have the access to the media spotlight Levi has been given?
There is a very intentional and coordinated effort on the part of the media to humiliate and embarrass this family, with the goal of destroying Mrs. Palin's career.
Where was the media when Edwards was having his affair during his campaign? They HUSHED IT UP!!! (It was well known) So as not to hurt the ticket.
Where was the media when Gore assaulted the Masseuse?

Mrs. Palin is fair game on ALL fronts though, because she is a conservative Republican...and if you can't see the bias there... you have to be BLIND!!!

This sounds more like you don't care for Palin and want to jump on the bashing bandwagon because NONE of the readers around here are going to have the opportunity to be media whores.
I don't follow anyone, because those that appear to be on the same path usually end up just getting in my way.
any teenage single parent with a dick for a baby daddy. She needs self esteem and a professional to help her get past this period in her life so she doesn't make the same mistake twice. Bristol needs to get herself together and learn to depend on herself and not wait for any man to help solve her problems or make her happy. She needs to find her own happiness and take care of her son and the right person will come into her life or not when they recognize she is not a needy baby mama.
Since we are using sexual imagery here, we might as well be honest about it.
I hope the Palin-haters among us try to use the old "she asked for it" line and fully illustrate their unbridled hate.

to completely blame the Moms for this situation. While it is true that our children are, in part, a reflection of ourselves, the trick is to know which part. What about the Dads?
I do not think that Palin is completely to blame for this situation, however, she does need to stay home a bit and deal with it.
I agree that Palin is a media whore and that has, I am sure, contributed to the problem, it is not the cause of the problem.
