Britney Spears' Divorced Parents Rekindle Relationship

The parents of Britney Spears, Lynne and Jamie Spears, are back together according to reports.

The couple, who divorced in 2002 after 30-years of marriage, have reconciled.

At the time of Lynne and Jamie Spears’ divorce, daughter Britney said it was actually a good thing. “It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to my family. My mom and dad, bottom line, do not get along. When I was a baby, they argued,” she said.

And now, eight years after their split, they are back together. Apparently the couple have been quietly “dating” since last year.

A friend of Lynne Spears dishes: “They are back together and are doing well and happy. (They’re) not remarried but (they are) back together. Lynne is a dear, sweet person. She deserves happiness. As her friend, my wish for her would be a happy ending.”

The Spears family have gone through a lot since Lynne and Jamie’s divorce. In 2006 Britney and then husband Kevin Federline filed for divorce, and a few months later Britney had the head-shaving episode. Later that same year, Lynne Spears’ sister died from cancer, and the couple’s youngest daughter became pregnant at age 16. Then there was the crazy breakdown that Britney suffered in 2008, leading her to be committed to a psychiatric ward.

Hopefully the Spears family is recovering from all the chaos, and now that things have settled down, maybe Lynne and Jamie can finally find the time they need for themselves.
