How unoriginal. Lindsay Lohan’s mother has denied claims her daughter knocked back the sauce and set off her alcohol-monitoring bracelet over the weekend.
Dina Lohan claims LiLo’s device was triggered after someone spilled a drink on her.
Mama Lohan tells the New York Post: “She was at the MTV Awards and somebody spilled a drink on her leg, which must have set off the SCRAM bracelet.
“She has done absolutely nothing wrong and shouldn’t have to wear the bracelet in the first place. She is doing absolutely fine.”
Course she is. Completely innocent. About as innocent as a nun doing press-ups in a field of cucumbers.
However, Dina’s been caught out telling wee porkies. A SCRAM expert says the device is sophisticated enough to be able to distinguish between an alcohol spill and actual consumption.
“The bracelet could get an alert for alcohol spilling on the bracelet. However, SCRAM can easily tell the difference between exposure to alcohol around the bracelet and actual consumed alcohol that metabolizes through the skin.
“A spill or something else in the environment with alcohol (hairspray, lotions) would create a rapid spike much faster than the body would ever consume alcohol and would evaporate and burn off much faster than the body can metabolize alcohol.
“Our confirmation process includes an evaluation that ensures there is no chance that an alcohol alert is anything but consumed alcohol.”
We can wait to hear your explanation, Lohan. Seriously, just fess up and take the shame.
