Lisa Ling says she felt "more like a failure than I'd felt in a very long time," after suffering a miscarriage six months ago.
In an appearance on "The View," set to air Friday, Ling, a former "View" co-host, opens up about her experience. She was nine weeks along when doctors could no longer find her fetus' heartbeat. The 37-year-old journalist now worries that she will have another miscarriage in the future, which, she says, would leave her "devastated."
Popular VideoCongress just passed a drug testing law that has a lot of people outraged. Do you think this is wrong?
The experience did produce one positive result, however: Ling and a business partner started Secret Society of Women, a Web site where women can gather anonymously to talk about their miscarriages and find support.
