It’s been reported that Michigan State head basketball coach (men’s) Tom Izzo would like to speak to LeBron James before he makes his decision on whether or not to take the Cleveland Cavaliers job. But, according to Cavaliers insider Brian Windhorst, that’s not likely to happen.
“LeBron has respect for Izzo but sticks w/plan, won’t talk to him or get involved in Cavs coach search: Windhorst tweets.
We understand LeBron not wanting to get involved. But, we also understand Izzo’s point of view. LeBron is the difference between coaching a team that can contend for a title and a team that won’t make the playoffs.
The decision may just come down to saying “screw it” and taking the $6 million per year or so in Cleveland.
Has Izzo even seen what Cleveland has to offer as a city?
