LAPT Heads Back to Chile

| by

The devastation caused by an earthquake in early 2010 caused the LAPT to cancel its Chilean stop last season.

Instead, the online poker site sponsored the Poker for Chile charity event helping raise $200,000 for earthquake aid.

Now in it's fourth season, the LAPT will head back to the Chilean seaside city of Viña del Mar for the USD $1,100 buy-in LAPT Chile National Poker Championship March 17-20.

The Viña del Mar Hotel & Casino will play host to what is expected to be the biggest poker tournament ever held in the country.

“It feels great to be returning to Chile,” said LAPT President David Carrion as the LAPT season kicked off in Brazil this week.

“Poker has grown since we were last here and we look forward to helping it grow even more.”

A few side events have been added to the schedule as well, including a $3.700+$300 High Roller tournament.
