Americans sure do love Labrador Retrievers. For the 20th consecutive year the breed is the most popular in the nation. The American Kennel Club is out with its list for 2010, based on registration statistics across the country.

Here's the top 10:

1) Labrador Retriever
2) German Shepherd
3) Yorkshire Terrier
4) Beagle
5) Golden Retriever
6) Bulldog
7) Boxer
8) Dachshund
9) Poodle
10) Shih Tzu

The list is virtually unchanged from 2009, except for the Beagle and Golden Retriever switching spots, and the Bulldog and Boxer doing the same.
