I read some news on the 2010 US Census today (which probably just means that I'm a little behind) - it expressed some surprise that about 1 in 6 Americans are Hispanic. I suppose we could speculate on how many were "legal", but that's not really why I'm wasting my time posting this (so you're probably wasting yours reading it). I wasn't previously aware that two Republican senators, David Vitter and Robert Bennett, tried unsuccessfully to add questions on immigration status to the new form. Let's just think about what that might have accomplished, theoretically...
