Julianne Moore to Play Sarah Palin in "Game Change"

Julianne Moore has been tabbed to play Sarah Palin in an upcoming TV movie -- a choice that may not sit too well with the former Alaska governor.

HBO Films said Wednesday that Moore will co-star in the film "Game Change." The movie focuses on John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign, starting from when he chose Palin as his running mate without thoroughly vetting her, through Palin's stumbles through the campaign, then finally to the sound defeat at the hands of the Obama/Biden ticket in the general election.

The film is based on the bestselling book which also detailed the Democratic primary race between Obama and Hillary Clinton.

No other cast members were announced.

Moore is a four-time Academy Award nominee. Her past roles include playing a porn star in "Boogie Nights," a bored 50's housewife who cheated on her husband with a black man in "Far from Heaven," and last year's "The Kids Are All Right" in which she played a lesbian.

One must wonder how Palin feels about an actress who has played such liberal roles now portraying her on film.
