John Wall Shines in New York Debut Against Knicks

John Wall was flashy in his Verizon Center debut less than a week ago. Not only did he catch the crowd by surprise when he bust out to “Dougie” in his introduction, he also backed it up on the court with 29 points, 13 assists, and nine steals.

Washington, D.C. is a great place and all but it’s no New York. So when John Wall and the Wizards played the Knicks on Friday you knew Wall would have something major up his sleeve.

Wall didn’t play as well in his New York debut as he did in his Wizards home opener but he had an equally impressive surprise for everyone. He wore a limited edition version of his Reebok Zig Slash signature shoe known as “Gold Rush.”

The shoes didn’t help his game but they at least looked kind of cool, I think.
