Japanese Whaling Ship Rams High-Tech Activist Boat

| by DeepDiveAdmin

In one of the most serious incidents between activists and Japanese whalers on the high seas, a Japanese whaling ship struck a futuristic, "Batmobile" boat piloted by activists who are trying to stop the whale hunt.

The boat had its bow sheared off in the frigid waters of the Antarctica. The six people aboard were transferred off the sinking ship onto another vessel -- called the Bob Barker and owned by the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
