Ja Rule? The Game? Kanye? Nope. 50 Cent has Beef with Marv Albert

LOS ANGELES --- Legendary, iconic and 5-foot-6 sports announcer Marv Albert made his way from way downtown (Yes!) to Jimmy Kimmel's TV studio in Hollywood on Thursday for a little chat about the NBA landscape and whether or not the Los Angeles Lakers will repeat in 2010. (Yes!)

What Marvelous Marv didn't expect was getting involved in a West Coast beef with 50 Cent, a rapper who once survived nine bullets and makes enemies faster than McDonald's does fries.

As Albert arrived for the show with TNT public relations guy Jeff Pomeroy, the L.A. Times reports there was a sudden scuffle when a group of 50 Cent "protectors" ran into an unfamiliar Albert. (Oh, No!)

There was yelling (a Kimmel guard shouted "It's Marv Albert" but apparently 50 Cent isn't a hoops devotee), obscenities spewing, fists flying and a "Don't put your hands on me" declaration. If only we could see the replay of all this with the Czar of the Telestrator Mike Fratello lending commentary.

Albert made it safely to his dressing room. "Did you see that?" Albert said. "I thought they were kidding, but then I realized they weren't."

Doing his best Willis Reed impersonation, Albert broadcast the Lakers easy 108-93 victory over the Chicago Bulls at Staples Center later in the evening.

    Why

Why the %^&* do idiots put stock in anything any rapper does or says? Are people that stupid to understand these "artists" are nothing but thugs and criminals? Go ahead and rip me, you will only be making my point for me.
