1. Have a frank conversation. Your fiancé is—and will soon legally be—your life partner. If your fiancé’s unhealthy habits are throwing a wrench into your plans of looking radiantly healthy on your wedding day, speak up. It may be that your fiancé is completely unaware that you’re trying to lose weight or become healthier. It may also be that he hasn’t thought about how his behavior is affecting you. Explain why you want to get healthy, and ask for support. Remind your future spouse that this is your future, and you want to set a good example for the rest of your family. It’s hard to say no to that!
