Caroline Berg Eriksen’s Sexy Flat-Stomach Selfie Just Days After Giving Birth Comes Under Scrutiny

| by

The wife of a soccer player and a fitness blogger posted a selfie, which shows the new mom in amazing shape just days after giving birth, and the photo has caused quite an uproar.

Caroline Berg Eriksen is married to Norwegian Premier League player Lars-Kristian Eriksen and is the woman behind the biggest fitness blog in Norway, Fotball Frue, according to the Huffington Post.

Late last month, just four days after giving birth to a baby girl, Eriksen posted an Instagram photo of herself in a bra and black underwear. “I feel so empty, and still not... 4 days after birth,” she reportedly wrote.

Mail Online reports the 26-year-old Eriksen has come under criticism for putting pressure on other new mothers to lose weight with the photograph.

Eriksen has said she didn’t intend to upset anyone with the selfie and she’s replied to some critics on Facebook by stating, “I let out the picture because I’m proud of myself and my body for something as tough as a pregnancy / birth, and I think all mothers, regardless of the body shall be.”

Writer Suzanne Aabel said on her blog that she couldn’t be sure Eriksen even “belonged to the same species.” She added, “In my eyes, this picture is wildly provocative.”

A commenter on the post named Heidi, said “Is it really necessary to post a halfnaked picture of themselves?! It’s just to show off, thinking’s [sic] not much on how that image can affect readers.”

One of the comments on the Instagram photo came from user laurajanewilkes, who asked, “Can she look like this 4 days after???”

Eriksen reportedly told ABC News, “During the pregnancy, people kept telling me that my body will never be the same and I wanted to show everybody that’s not entirely true. I think all women should be proud of themselves, regardless of how they look after labor.”

She also added that she has not worked out since giving birth on Nov. 25.
