Arizona Rep. Gabrielle Giffords made a surprise appearance on the House floor Monday during the vote on the debt deal. It is the first time she has been at the Capitol since she was shot in Tucson in January.
She voted in favor of the deal, saying in a statement, "I had to be here for this vote. I could not take the chance that my absence could crash our economy."
