British mattress manufacturer Savoir Beds is launching its 'Royal Bed' at Kensington Palace in London this Thursday.

Savoir describes its $175,000 mattress as "an investment" in your well being, reports CNBC.com.

"It's an investment that pays off every morning of your life," said Savoir Beds' managing director Alistair Hughes. "Ultimately what luxury is about, it's exclusive, very much for you."

"Of course it's a massive amount of money and it will only appeal to the very lucky and very wealthy, but if you're buying Gucci handbags, a suit from Saville Row or a Rolls Royce, you're looking for the best. And you spend a third of your life in bed."

Apparently only 60 beds will be made and each one takes 700 hours to manufacture. The mattress contains curled Latin American horse tail, pure Mongolian cashmere and more than 1,600 miles of specially woven silk.

You can also have your own family crest, initials or favorite emblem embroidered into the mattress, reports NBCNews.com.

The mattress is fully customizable. Each side of the bed can be made with a different firmness for you and your significant other.

The Royal Bed is reportedly inspired by 17th and 18th century British beds.
