A female bodybuilder with 0 percent body fat went viral (video below).
The unidentified woman can be seen in a video flexing her muscular figure, which includes incredibly toned abs and biceps, on camera. The woman is believed to be from the U.S. and she smiles as she flexes her muscles.
Despite her appearance, many said they were concerned that the woman’s approach to fitness was dangerous.

“The dietary discipline to get very low is nuts ( nobody is at 0 especially a woman ) but its unhealthy and ugly,” one viewer said.
Others said the woman took fitness “a step too far” and that what she was doing was "bad for her body."
Some viewers, however, said they admired her desire to be fit and said she shouldn’t be judged for how she chooses to live her life.
A normal body fat percentage for a woman between the ages of 20 and 39 is between 21 and 33 percent -- meaning that the supposed absence of body fat on this woman could potentially be harmful.

“0% body fat is IMPOSSIBLE. Maybe 2% ??or even less but definitely not 0%,” one Daily Mail reader wrote in response to the clip.
“A bit extreme for my personal taste but HER DEDICATION should be APPLAUDED!!” another added.
In a similar story, an Australian bodybuilder died with almost 0 percent body fat. The practice of only building muscle and not having sufficient body fat is extremely unhealthy, according to experts.
“You need body fat for cellular function, energy use and to pad the joints and organs,” Columbia University professor Carol Garber told ABC News. “Having too little can lead to nutritional deficiencies, electrolyte imbalances and malfunction of the heart, kidney and other organs.”
Among bodybuilders, however, low body fat is a regular problem.
“Percentage of body fat is a major issue with bodybuilders,” United States Bodybuilding Federation commissioner Brian Washington said. “They devote a lot of their efforts and money on products to go as low as they can possibly go.”
Other experts agreed with Washington’s assessment.
“There are still some bodybuilders obsessed about their numbers who take their body fat percentage readings on a regular basis,” Musclemania producer Louis Zwick said. “I’ve never really seen anyone who really had zero body fat. You just can’t be. You wouldn’t survive.”
