"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Yolanda Foster revealed in an Instagram post that she underwent a procedure last week to remove a 20-year-old breast implant that had been leaking.
“Turn a mess into a message.......We might have hit the jackpot by finding all this silicone from a 20 year old implant rupture through ultrasound mapping as shown in this selfie,” Foster wrote alongside a bathroom selfie. Foster has Lyme disease and said the leaking implant was worsening her symptoms.
“Thank you Dr.Feng for holding my hand and leading the way #UncoveringTheMystery #ChronicLymeDisease #ExPlantSurgery @FengClinic #MyHealthJourney #DeterminedToFindACure,” she wrote.
Both breast implants were removed, which has reportedly helped the 51-year-old’s chronic Lyme disease. The rupture in the implant was found via ultrasound.
According to TMZ, Foster’s Lyme disease — which she was diagnosed with in 2012 — became so severe this year that she lost the ability to read, write and watch television.
