Former President George H. W. Bush was admitted to a hospital in Houston for pneumonia but the 92-year-old is reportedly in "good spirits."

"President George H. W. Bush was admitted to Houston Methodist Hospital on Friday for observation due to a persistent cough that prevented him from getting proper rest,″ Bush Sr. spokesman Jim McGrath said in a statement posted to Twitter. "It was subsequently determined he had a mild case of pneumonia, which was treated and has been resolved.″

It turns out President Trump's budget has $2 trillion error in it:

"President Bush is in very good spirits and is being held for further observation while he regains his strength," McGrath added.

An anonymous source told CNN that Bush Sr. is receiving IV antibiotics and is expected to remain in the hospital for several days.

Bush Sr. had to be hospitalized in January for "an acute respiratory problem stemming from pneumonia."

Hs health problems in January prohibited him from attending the inauguration of President Donald Trump in Washington, D.C.

But Bush Sr. soon regained enough strength to attend the coin toss at the 2017 Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons in Arizona.

At 92, Bush Sr. is the oldest living former president. He served as president of the United States between 1989 and 1992. Before winning the presidency in 1988, he served as Vice President under former President Ronald Reagan.

Bush Sr. is also the father of former President George W. Bush, who started the Iraq War by falsely accusing its leader of possessing ‶weapons of mass destruction.″ The war led to the deaths of approximately 193,000 civilians, according to Iraq Body Count.

According to KHOU, Bush Sr. has Parkinson's disease and uses a motorized scooter or a wheelchair to move around.

He also fell and broke a vertebrae in July 2015, according to The Associated Press. But the break was not major and doctors let the bone heal on its own.

Despite his illness, he regularly participates in meetings and events.

In June 2016, Bush Sr. participated in ‶Fishing for Freedom,″ an event in which he took 40 wounded veterans from the U.S. government's invasions of Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan on a fishing trip, according to the AP.

Bush Sr. didn't actually fish, the AP, reported, but he did skipper the 38-foot speedboat that the veterans rode to go on the fishing trip.

He also recently met with former President Bill Clinton.

‶Great to spend time with [Bush Sr.] & Mrs. Bush in Houston today,″ Mr. Clinton tweeted. ‶We caught up about kids, grandkids, old times and new times. And socks.″
