Poll: Millions of Americans Believe Conspiracy Theories

A new poll by Public Policy Polling asked Americans if they believe some of the wackier current conspiracy theories.

Amazingly, the poll shows that millions of Americans believe unsupported rumors and falsehoods.

Thirty-seven percent of Americans believe that global warming is a hoax. That number is a whopping 58 percent among Republicans.

Thirteen percent of Americans think President Obama is the antichrist. That number jumps to 22 percent for Romney voters.

Five percent of Americans actually believe Paul McCartney died in 1966.

Twenty-eight percent think Saddam Hussein was involved in the 9/11 attacks, which even the Bush White House admitted wasn't true. A staggering 36% of Romney voters believe Saddam Hussein was involved in 9/11.

Twenty-eight percent believe there is a secretive power elite that is conspiring to rule the world through a New World Order. 38% of  Romney voters believe in the New World Order.
