Plane Passengers Cheer When Ill Boy Is Removed (Video)

George Alvarado, Christina Fabian and their 7-year-old son Giovanni were recently on an Allegiant Air flight from Bellingham, Washington, to Phoenix when Giovanni experienced an allergic reaction (video below).

"He began to get very itchy, he was scratching all over, and he started to get hives," Fabian told King 5 News. "So we informed the flight attendant who informed us that, 'Well, there's dogs on every flight,' and just smirked, which minimized his experience for me."

Eventually the family was informed by the flight crew that they would have to deboard the plane.

"We understood," Fabian added. "We gathered our stuff, they helped us off the plane, but when we stood up to walk out, they clapped, the people toward the back of the plane clapped."

"People that do not have sadness, they don't understand what it feels like to have sadness," Giovanni told the news station.

"My dad is sick with stage four throat cancer, and that made me sad, sadder when I was already sad," Giovanni added.

The family had flown to Bellingham to see Alvarado's sister, probably for the last time, and was returning home, noted WUSA.

"You don't know how much time people have or why they are hurting," Alvarado told King 5 News. "Just be nice. Be kind."

The airline apologized to the family, who made it home on a different flight.
