The heartwarming moment a baby sees his mother for the first time after putting glasses on was captured on video (below) and is going viral.

Leopold Wilbur Reppond, or Leo for short, was diagnosed with a rare condition called oculocutaneous albinism, in which the color of the skin and hair are affected and eyesight is weakened, Daily Mail reports.

Leo's father, 39-year-old David, filmed the moment Leo was given his new glasses for the first time. His mother, 35-year-old Erin, put the glasses on for him and what happens next is sure to make you smile.

As soon as Leo clearly sees mother's face for the first time in his life, his face lights up. David, describing the moment, said the "cuteness went through the roof" and that there "wasn't a dry eye in the house," according to Daily Mail. The family lives in Seattle, Washington.

"I had some issues holding the camera because I was crying so much," the proud father added. "I was overwhelmed with emotion. It's just very touching. You cannot anticipate how you're going to feel when something like that happens. It was very heartwarming."

Leo's glasses were specially made for him by Miraflex out of a rubber-like material, with no screws, sharp edges or hinges to hurt the baby.

Oculocutaneous albinism affects one in every 20,000 children.
