The California teen who stands accused of sodomizing two of his classmates screamed at bailiffs as they dragged him away from his family during a recent bail hearing.
Fernando Salgado was one member of a gang of four students at Fontana, California’s A.B. Miller High School arrested for attempted sodomy, according to KTLA.
During the incident in question, three students allegedly restrained another boy while Salgado sodomized him with the handle of a wooden broom.
“The allegations are something that have been just gut-wrenching for us,” said Superintendant of Schools Cali Olsen-Binks.
Salgado, 18, was the only adult in the group of attackers. He has pleaded not guilty to two counts of felony sexual penetration and false imprisonment. The high school bully was seen sobbing throughout the court proceedings and eventually had to be physically restrained, pried away from his family and led out of the courtroom.
If convicted, Salgado faces a lengthy term of incarceration. He would also be required to register as a sex offender upon release in accordance with California law. His preliminary hearing is set for July 11.
