Frances Hena recently punished her 11-year-old daughter Jamie Hena for twerking at a school dance by making her stand at an intersection in Bakersfield, Calif., while holding a sign.
The sign read: "I was disrespecting my parents by twerking at a school dance."
Apparently, Jamie was inspired by Miley Cyrus' twerking performance on the VMAs last month.
Twerking is a sexually-suggestive dance, which includes thrusting the chest and hips.
Popular VideoThis young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.
"That's ridiculous to even think that's okay at a school dance," Frances told ABC News (video below). "When she's 18, she can do whatever she wants. As of right now, that's not something she's going to be doing."
A nosy family friend told on Jamie, but Frances is upset that the school did not tell her.
"I haven’t heard anything from the school still, and it's just ridiculous to think that's okay at a school dance," added Frances. "I'm also not sure my daughter realizes how seriously I take this. It's not something kids should be doing,."
Ironically, Jamie was holding her punishment sign while wearing tight shorts at the busy intersection.
