A photo of a young girl fighting cancer is going viral.

The photo shows 7-year-old Hayley with a single remaining eyelash on her eye after months of chemotherapy and radiation, the Daily Mail reported.

“That one last eyelash has been hanging on, on [its] own, for a few weeks now,” Hayley’s father, Andrew Brown, is said to have captioned the photo.

Doctors discovered a 5-centimeter tumor growing inside Hayley’s nose in June. The family was told she needed eight months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Andrea Huggins, a friend of the family, set up a MyCause page to help support Andrew Brown, his wife, Leia, and Hayley.

“Every time I see that photo, I think ‘make a wish.’ It’s just so moving,” Huggins said. “Anything that can be done to help that beautiful family, we need to do.”

Brown said his daughter’s eyelashes held on much longer than her hair did. He said hospital staff would compliment her on her eyelashes, saying they were beautiful.

The father-of-four said the final lash has since fallen off.

“[P]eople, including her older sister, always said how jealous they were of her beautiful big eyelashes,” Brown told Kidspot. “She doesn’t really [realize] they’re gone, people stopped talking about them. She probably doesn’t even know her eyebrows are practically gone.”

Hayley has five weeks of radiation and two more rounds of chemotherapy left before doctors choose the next treatment plan. The tumor has already started shrinking.

Brown, who is a comedian, has been participating in comedy fundraisers in his daughter’s name. He had been working with the fundraisers before Hayley’s diagnosis.

“When I saw Hayley was on the fundraiser poster, I was a bit overwhelmed,” Brown told the Herald Sun, according to the Mail.

Brown’s next comedy night will be on Dec. 16 in Ballarat, Australia.

Donations can also be made on the MyCause website. Donations will go to “costs associated with being in [the] hospital like - parking, citylink, fuel, medicine, rent and bills.”

“This is a time when the family needs its parents most and they may be unable to work,” Huggins wrote in the page’s description. “Bills will still come in and there will be additional costs of daily living so these funds will be used to help them however they need it most.”
