Is 'No Bra Day' Really About Breast Cancer Awareness?

| by Michael Allen

While October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Oct. 13 has been dubbed No Bra Day on the Internet as a supposed part of the health movement.

Some are questioning if No Bra Day, which is promoted on Twitter with the hashtag #NoBraDay, is simply an attempt to get women to post pictures of themselves not wearing bras for men to ogle, reports the Daily Mirror.

According to ScoopWhoop.com, No Bra Day is legitimate and was created in 2011 as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Independent notes that No Bra Day "is not officially supported by charities and contributes very little apart from sexualizing disease."
