Robert McDonough, 73, suddenly appeared before WMTW-TV reporter Norm Karkos, who had just completed an update on the missing senior in Limington, Maine (video below).
McDonough walked up to Karkos and identified himself on Tuesday morning after he was reported missing at around 4 p.m. on Monday.
On the video (below), McDonough can be seen walking on the road behind Karkos and up to the TV news crew after Karkos had done his update at 6:30 a.m.
Search crews had been looking for overnight for McDonough, reports Mediaite.com.
“Well sometimes timing is everything," said Karkos. “And good news, and a happy ending. The gentleman behind us, you’re looking at, that is Robert McDonough.”
McDonough, who reportedly suffers from dementia, was in a good condition, although he did have a small cut on his hand, notes WMTW-TV.
