Video: Overweight Bill Wisth Calls Police After Being Cut Off by All-You-Can-Eat Restaurant
In Thiensville, Wisconsin, 350-pound Bill Wisth called the police after Chuck’s Place, an all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant, decided he’d had enough fried fish and cut him off at 20 pieces (video below).
According to TMJ4-TV, the restaurant cut him off after watching Wisth eat 12 pieces of fried fish last Friday.
The restaurant management claimed that they were running out of fish. They gave Wisth eight more pieces, for a total of 20, and sent him on his way.
Wisth left the restaurant, then he called the police. He returned two days later with a protest sign.
He told TMJ4-TV: "It’s false advertising. I think people have to stand up for consumers.”
A waitress at the restaurant said that Wisth has been a problem customer before, and that he’s been allowed to carry a tab that remains unpaid.
Wisth said he plans to picket the restaurant every Sunday until his demand for an endless supply of fried fish is met.

Vaccination programs and
Vaccination programs and distribution of condoms to prevent the spread of communicable diseases are examples of common preventive public health measures, as are educational campaigns to promote vaccination and the use of condoms. Thanks. Regards, http://www.hcg1234.com/
Sounds like some counter
Sounds like some counter protesters need to turn up and start beating on his monumentually stupid head. It would be impossible to beat any sense into him but it would shut his ugly stupid mouth for a while.
This is not a matter for the
This is not a matter for the police. This is a civil dispute that should be resolved in the courtroom.
Can anyone say, "Judge Judy"? LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!
Hundreds of other restaurants
Hundreds of other restaurants deal with this exact problem and don't end up in the news. You serve the guy all he wants to eat for that visit, then inform him that you'll be unable to provide him with the "all you can eat" option in the future. If he returns again, refuse to sell it to him.
They could also assign a busboy to surreptitiously watch to see if he's hiding food in plastic bags in his purse/fanny pack/under his panniculus. Many restaurants have posted policies about charging extra for uneaten food, and not allowing take-out/doggy bags from the buffet area.
Any rational customer would just not patronize a restaurant that displeased them, not picket them continuously for more food.
If it is claiming to be an
If it is claiming to be an "all you can eat', it must live up to it's claim so they are wrong. It matters not that he is disgusting.
The article I read said it
The article I read said it was another restaurant he was sharing food and sneaking out food. If they don't want this guy eating there, they need to stop him before he starts. For all of you superior being remarking on his gluttony, pride and anger are part of the seven deadly sins as well. I'm sick of snarky self-righteous assholes who never look in the mirror.
"For all of you superior
"For all of you superior being remarking on his gluttony, pride and anger are part of the seven deadly sins as well."
God never made them sins. They were originally EIGHT temptations, then someone in the church who thought they knew better than God decided to take someone else's work and make them sins. Show me in the Bible where they are listed as sins. I don't see them inscribed on any stone tablets.
I did not claim to quote the
I did not claim to quote the Bible, or to invoke any religious source. The "Seven Deadly Sins" are more of a cultural idea than a religious one. It was a comment about those who think they have they are superior because their faults don't wrap around their waist lines.
I hope the greedy glutton
I hope the greedy glutton chokes on a fish bone!
There is sooooo much more to
There is sooooo much more to this story than the media will ever know. This guy Bill has been banned from other restaurants for filling concealed bags full of food at all u can eat buffets. His dining companion was making inappropriate comments to a 17 year old female employee. The owner of this establishment is a kind hearted man who would help anyone in need and give the guy the benefit of the doubt. This restaurant may be near a big city but Thiensville is small town where everybody looks out for one another. Bill messed up and took advantage of a truly good thing.
Looks as though fish might
Looks as though fish might not be "brain food" after all.
Grudgingly, I have to admit he's right though.
In the UK, there are phone deals that offer "unlimited" calls or texts, but, in the small print, there is mention of a "fair usage policy". That's misleading advertising, in my opinion. Same principle applies here.
I once had a girlfriend who once asked for a doggy bag at a buffet. (A buffet is an "all you can eat" deal.) I found that unacceptable. (She was a Merkin, by the way.)
Hey fatso, let's see you get
Hey fatso, let's see you get real serious about protesting...how about a hunger strike... : /
And how about paying your unpaid bill? I looked up "ungreatful slob" and saw your photo... : )
Love it!!! LOL!! Extremely
Love it!!! LOL!! Extremely well put!!
You are all missing the
You are all missing the point. It does not matter how much this person weighs. The point is that the restaurant is advertising all you can eat and they are not providing that. If they are advertising all you can eat, then they should give someone as much as they want, no matter how much. Period.
The guy lied. He can eat as
The guy lied. He can eat as much as he wants to in the establishment itself he just can't feed his friends, kids and neighbors and then take a doggy bag for breakfast, lunch and dinner the next day.
Not for this guy. I would
Not for this guy. I would not serve him anything until he settled his unpaid bills. Then once he paid his bill I'd stop running the all you can eat special.
This is a short-term problem.
This is a short-term problem. Ol' Bill will be dead soon enough.
But I agree with stockball, too.
1) the owner is a sucker for allowing him to run an unpaid tab 2) I think not living up to "All you can eat" is not only false advertising but a form of theft in itself, if the customer pays the advertised price for AYCE and doesn't get it 3) as stockball noted, if Bill is sharing his AYCE meal, then THAT's theft and he has no gripe 4) Bill is a glotton
The fat pig should be
The fat pig should be disgusted with himself. What a gross person.
People like that would be bad
People like that would be bad for business. I'd be nauseous eating in the same room as this guy. Gluttony is disgusting.
this big fat slob is a food
this big fat slob is a food junkie. demand he pay his account and then cut him off. he will probably have a heart attack soon anyway.
leroy beetenauf
Two very good points,
Two very good points, Stockball. Let's see how this plays out.
If I were the owner, I'd first sue him for the unpaid tab. Then my defense would be "has anyone else been cut off, ever?"
If the sharing the food with someone else is true, they had the right to cut him off and to ban him from the premises.
If I were the owner I would
If I were the owner I would already have banned him over that tab...but I suppose he's a nicer person than I am :-)
1) If he's carrying an
1) If he's carrying an unpaid tab, then the owner is a sucker for letting him come back, and he's an ungrateful moron...
2) However, "All You Can Eat" means what it says...could truly be false advertising...but I saw a different article that said he shared some of his fish with another person, and I don't believe it's "All Two Can Eat"...so if the article was accurate, he's not only an ungrateful moron, he's a thief and a liar
