A man in Thailand had an embarrassing doctor visit when he accidentally got two metal rings stuck on his penis during a "sexual experiment."

The rings had somehow "slipped on to" the man's genitals, and he was unable to remove them, Metro reports. The 33-year-old man, who was identified only as Wirat, at first told doctors on June 24 that he didn't know how the rings had gotten onto his penis, but later admitted that the cause was an "experiment" during masturbation.

Wirat's penis began to swell after the rings got stuck, and his blood circulation appeared to be cut off.

Doctors needed to call in firefighters to remove the rings with pliers and tools for cutting metal.

"We had to be careful not to hurt his penis because the rings were stuck very tightly," said he Sawang Boribun Fire Rescue Center's Luang Watcharapong, according to the Daily Mail. "We don’t know how long he had the ring on his penis before he went to [the] hospital."

"The doctors tried first then we arrived at 1pm and it took us around 30 minutes to remove it. We used small cutters," added Watcharapong. "The man said thank you and he left. He felt much better. He would not give details of exactly what happened."

"He said he was experimenting sexually and the rings got stuck. He also did not want to tell his family name."

In a similarly gruesome incident on June 2, a man in China got his penis trapped in a wrench. The 37-year-old man, who was not named, went to a hospital in Linahi City to seek help with his genitals, which had swelled up and turned purple.

It was unclear how the wrench had gotten on to the man's penis.

Doctors had initially wanted to operate on his penis to reduce the blood flow, in order to more easily remove the wrench. However, he needed to get his parents' permission to undergo the surgery, and they did not show up.

The hospital then called for help from firefighters, who came with an angle grinder to remove the wrench. There was concern that the heat from the machine could damage the man's penis, so instead, two dentists were called in.

Zhou Gi and Shi Gengsheng used a dental tool to remove the wrench.

"The dental engine also has a high-pressure water cooler to reduce the heat caused by the drilling," said Zhou.

After 30 minutes, the man's genitals were freed from the wrench, and his embarrassing situation was solved.
