Hockey Player Is Knocked Out During Fight, Crowd Cheers (Video)

San Diego Gulls hockey player Brian McGrattan was knocked out during a fight with San Antonio Rampage player Daniel Maggio during an AHL game on Jan. 19 (video below).

McGrattan and Maggio got into it during the second period, but the brawl quickly ended after Maggio landed a right-handed punch on McGrattan, reports Yahoo Sports.

As McGrattan lay motionless on the ice, some in the crowd cheered. He was taken out on a stretcher.

The San Diego Gulls later tweeted: "INJURY UPDATE: Brian McGrattan is conscious, alert and has full movement."

McGrattan has previously played for the NHL's Anaheim Ducks and Calgary Flames, and the AHL's Adirondack Flames.
