Here's Why You May Want To Consider Soaking Your Feet In Garlic

Garlic is one of the most common ingredients to use when cooking, but did you know that it has many alternative uses beyond that?

Using a simple clove of garlic helps with a number of things, such as treating athlete’s foot.

According to the New York Times, soaking your feet in a foot bath with finely crushed garlic cloves can cure a bad case of athlete’s foot.  Dr. Lawrence D. Rosen of Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey says that garlic is a “powerful natural antifungal.”

Athlete’s foot can be caused by simply walking on a moist floor or anywhere your feet may come in contact with fungus. It causes skin between the toes to crack and sting.

Little Things says it can even cure a toothache! 

There are many treatments available to get rid of athlete’s foot, but garlic is a surprising alternative to over-the-counter treatments and you might have some in your kitchen right now!

Next time you experience athlete’s foot, crush up a few cloves of garlic and soak your feet!
