Video: New Hampshire State Rep. Lynne Blankenbeker Tells Married Couples to Use Condoms or Abstinence

| by Michael Allen

On Monday, State Rep. Lynne Blankenbeker (R-NH) said that married couples who can't afford birth control pills can use condoms or practice abstinence (video below).

Blankenbeker said: "People with or without insurance have two affordable choices, one being abstinence and the other being condoms, both of which you can get over the counter. Abstinence works 100 percent of the time."

Blankenbeker's statements came during the same hearing where state Rep. Jeanine Notter (R-Merrimack) claimed that birth control pills lead to prostate cancer.
