Doctors Find Lego Piece Stuck in Isaak Lasson's Nose, for Three Years
Isaak Lasson, a 6-year-old boy, has had sinus problems since he was 3 years old, but he had no idea the cause was a Lego piece, reports the NY Daily News.
Amazingly, doctors had not been able to figure out the mystery. For years, they placed the boy on antibiotics.
Isaak's dad, Craig Lasson told KSL.com: "I felt so bad. He was sleeping with his mouth open, trying to breathe."
In July, a new doctor saw an object in Isaak's nose. The family then took Isaak to an ear nose and throat specialist who found a Lego wheel covered in fungus inside the boy's nose.
Craig Lasson said: "I asked him, 'Dude, how did that even get in there?' We think he bent it in half, it's pretty flexible, and that it opened up once it got into his sinuses. You ask yourself, 'Am I a bad parent because I didn't catch it sooner?' But the doctors just kept prescribing antibiotics. We just didn't know."
Not surprisingly, Isaak's sinuses are much better since the toy was removed, according to KSL.com
