The "Got Insurance?" campaign by the Colorado Consumer Health Initiative and Progress Now has featured several humorous ads that are aimed at getting young people to sign up for health coverage under Obamacare.
However, conservatives are attacking one of the ads which features a guy and a girl with the caption, "Let's get Physical." The ad also says, from the woman's point of view, "OMG. He's hot! Let's hope he's as easy to get as this birth control."
According to MediaMatters.org, in response, several conservatives have tried to shame women for having sex with birth control, provided by Obamacare. The attacks harken back to the 1960s when birth control pills were first introduced.
Fox News' Katie Pavlich tweeted: "Keep Hoeing Yourselves Out Ladies, Obamacare Depends On It!"
Right wing talk show host Rush Limbaugh went ballistic on his radio show (audio below), saying: "What these ads are really promising, if you like your risky, promiscuous lifestyle, you can keep it. That's what Obama's promising. If you like being promiscuous, you can keep on being promiscuous."
"If you like being a prostitute, then have at it," added Rush. "If you like your risky, promiscuous lifestyle, you can keep it. That's what Obama is promising in these ads."
