A gynecologist is facing a lawsuit filed by two of his former patients who said he performed oral sex on them during an examination.
Dr. Robert Hadden worked at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia Hospital, and allegedly performed the act in his office in 2012.
One young woman filed a report on June 29 accusing Hadden of sexual assault. He was taken into custody the following day.
He stopped seeing patients in September and did not return calls made to his home.
Myrna Manners, hospital spokeswoman, said they "take allegations of this nature very seriously."
In the suit, it states, "The improper and tortious conduct of defendant Robert Hadden, M.D., was not performed for a valid medical purpose. Defendant Robert Hadden, M.D., performed the aforementioned actions for his own sexual gratification."
In 2012, he received an award for "compassionate" care, but has had eight medical malpractice lawsuits filed against him in the last five years.
The victims of his latest suit are seeking unspecified monetary damages.
