Pearl Cantrell, who recently turned 105 years old, claims that her secret to a long life is eating bacon.

“I love bacon, I eat it everyday,” Cantrell told the Big Country Homepage. “I don’t feel as old as I am, that’s all I can say.”

Cantrell, a mother of seven children, also recalled her days of labor: "I would go to the field and work till dinner, then come home to fix dinner, then I would go back out to the field and work again until supper."

In addition to eating bacon, she enjoys "country dancing, waltzing, and two stepping."

The Oscar Meyer Wienermobile made a stop in Richland, Texas, to wish her a happy birthday  and give her some free bacon on May 5,  reports KHOU-TV.

Cantrell also got to ride in the Wienermobile.

"She had a hard life raising all of us, so she deserves all of this, everything that we can give her at this time. And I think this today, will keep her going, she will talk about this for months," said Anno Richards, Cantrell's daughter.

"I will never, ever forget this, for the rest of my life," added Cantrell.

“We’ve seen a lot of stories on the road, but nothing quite like this one, so we’re excited to be here,” an Oscar Meyer spokesperson told Big Country Homepage. “We know she’s an inspiration. Pearl is an inspiration for the community, and her friends and family. So we had to make a special stop here for her today.”
