A Chinese man who suffered from constipation for 10 years recently underwent surgery to have an 11-pound stool removed from his colon.
The 27-year-old had reportedly been complaining over the last decade of stomachaches and constipation, reports Fox News. Eventually, one doctor decided to perform surgery and found the 11-pound mass of fecal matter in the man’s colon.
The mass was so large it had reportedly moved the man’s heart to accommodate its massive size.
Doctors diagnosed the man with congenital megacolon, a condition that affects the large intestine and causes problems with passing stool. It’s also known as Hirschprung’s disease.

The man is currently recovering from surgery, reports Medical Daily.
To have more frequent bowel movements, doctors recommend people get 25 to 38 grams of fiber per day. Doctors also recommend drinking enough water and exercising regularly.
