A Los Angeles bus driver was recently placed under quarantine and so was his bus.

According to The Los Angeles Times, an unidentified masked passenger got on the bus with a female companion and road for several minutes before shouting, "Don't mess with me, I have Ebola!"

The man removed his mask and left it on the bus as he exited (video below).

CBS Los Angeles notes that the bus driver radioed his supervisors who told him to let the rest of the passengers off the bus and bring the bus to a bus yard where it was taken out of service and checked by hazmat workers.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's transit authorities are looking over video surveillance footage from inside the bus in an effort to track the masked passenger down.

Los Angeles County Department of Public Health spokeswoman Sarah Kissell Garrett said the incident was likely a hoax. The bus driver has not shown any symptoms of Ebola.
