Once a Critic, Cancer Survivor Now Supports Obamacare
In a Los Angeles Times op-ed, Spike Dolomite Ward, a Los Angeles resident who was upset with President Obama for signing health care reform (ObamaCare) into law, has offered an apology to the president after losing her health insurance and contracting breast cancer.
Ward actually switched her registration from Democrat to Independent and altered her Obama bumpers sticker to read "Got Nope" because she was angered by Obama's plan. But now Ward admits that she didn't actually research ObamaCare before slamming the health care plan and attacking the president.
Two years ago, Spike Dolomite Ward and her husband had to choose between paying their mortgage or keeping their health insurance. They kept the house, but then Ward was diagnosed with breast cancer.
She didn't know how she'd afford months of expensive treatment, until she discovered the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan, which is part of Obama's healthcare plan. Now she's publicly "outed" herself in the hopes that she can teach ObamaCare opponents that the uninsured aren't just lazy freeloaders.
Ward says that she currently has third-stage breast cancer and is facing months of treatment.

Sooooo is she thanking him for the rising healthcare costs she mentions in in paragraph 5, the ongoing recession she admits to in paragraph 6... or the fact that she can now pin her healthcare costs on the American public causing them to rise for other people too? Probably the latter...

Absolute crap, friend. I am against it and MOST Americans who dont have the money to BUY health insurance when ObOzOcArE does finally kick into full gear....and dont have the money to pay the annual $750 PER PERSON 'fine' either....will also be against it when they see what its actually going to do in the long run.
When 90% of the folks who ALREADY CANT AFFORD to BUY health insurance are told to BUY IT or PAY A HUGE FINE, they will finally figure out what this ObOzO god you all worship was actually about.
The FACT is that MOST people FOR ObOzOcArE dont know sh't about it. It MAY have SOME benefits..but those are far outweighed by the detriments and liabilities in this horribly 'flawed' health plan that will financially destroy low income families once those 'fines' kick in.
Most of the opposition to the Affordable Care Act is based on myths, lies and greed. There are valid objections to certain provisions of the act, but the opponents never cite them; they instead spread propaganda funded by the insurance and pharmaceutical lobbyists. There has been no honest debate or public airing of true deliberations. If anyone was actually watching C-Span during the hearings they would realize the opposition was NOT fact based. It was merely the manifestation of the GOP's stated primary goal of limiting the President to a single term-a completely inappropriate use of time and energy. Most of the Republicans and not just a few of the Democrats in Congress are irresponsible, self-serving partisan hacks who shamefully pretend to represent their constituencies. This is no way to govern.
