Wilko Johnson has been diagnosed with terminal cancer of the pancreas. His manager announced via Facebook that the Dr. Feelgood guitarist and songwriter will not be undergoing any treatment.
“I am very sad to announce that Wilko has recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer of the pancreas. He has chosen not to receive any chemotherapy.”
The post spurred an outpouring of condolences and support from fans. Johnson, 65, will finish his promo tour in Japan and then it's back to the studio to work on his new album.
His manager assured fans, "he is currently in good spirits, is not yet suffering any physical effects and can expect to enjoy at least another few months of reasonable health and activity.”

The musician, and Game Of Thrones actor, will be using those months thanking his fans on a farewell tour, with dates set in France and Britain.
Johnson, whose music has always had a devoted fan base, received wide recognition in the role of mute executioner, Ilyn Payne, on HBO's Game of thrones.
