Phil Robertson Lectures About STDs (Video)

"Duck Dynasty" reality TV star Phil Robertson appeared today at the CPAC conference in Washington D.C. where he scolded America for its STD rate and offered his advice on avoiding diseases.

"I got my facts from the CDC day before yesterday," said Robertson (video below). "One hundred and ten million, one hundred and ten million Americans now have a sexually transmitted illness."

Robertson sighed in disgust, and later added, "I don't want you, America, to get sick," added the patriarch. "I don't want you to become ill. I don't want you to come down with a debilitating disease. I don't want you to die early!"

Robertson then advised Americans to keep their sex life within a heterosexual marriage of one man and one woman for one life, noted

The CDC website says, "The most reliable ways to avoid transmission of STDs are to abstain from sexual activity, or to be in a long-term mutually monogamous relationship with an uninfected partner," but adds, "[C]onsistent condom use is highly effective in preventing transmission of HIV. Similarly, epidemiologic studies have shown that condom use reduces the risk of many other STDs."
