2-Year-Old Double Amputee Learns to Walk (Video)

| by Michael Allen

Kayden Kinckle, 2, was born with a condition called omphalocele, which means that his organs grew outside of his body in utero.

The Huffington Post reports that the boy's legs were deformed because of an amniotic band that had wrapped around his lower limbs while his mother was pregnant.

Kinckle has undergone several surgeries, including having his right foot and left leg amputated in January. The toddler was recently fitted with prosthetic legs.

Kinckle's mother posted a video (below) on YouTube and Facebook on July 4 showing him learning how to walk with his prosthetic legs and a walker, notes

While his mom helps get him started, Kinckle says, “I got it, I got it” as he walks across the floor.

The toddler's family is hoping the video will help raise money for the boy's medical bills and physical therapy.
