14 Brands Of Bottled Water Recalled After Possible E. Coli Contamination

Fourteen different brands of bottled water were recalled after a potential E. coli contamination.

The bottled water was delivered to stores in the northeast, including ShopRite, Stop & Shop, Giant, Acme and Wegman’s stores. Niagara Bottling has also issued a voluntary recall for its bottled water in Pennsylvania: one facility in Allentown and another in Hamburg.

According to Niagara Bottling, it was alerted the spring source was possibly contaminated and that it should stop using the source.

The affected brands are: Acadia, Acme, Big Y, Best Yet, 7-11, Niagara, Nature’s Place, Pricerite, Superchill, Morning Fresh, Shaws, Shoprite, Western Beef Blue and Wegman’s.

All the affected water has production dates between June 10 and June 18.

To date, there have been no reports of illness as a result of the drinking water. If consumed, water contaminated by E. coli can cause diarrhea, cramps, nausea, headaches or other symptoms.
