Carrie Fisher Had One Final Request For Her Obituary

| by Zara Zhi

Although veteran actress Carrie Fisher died on Dec. 27 at the age of 60, she continues to move people from beyond the grave.

Known to most for her character from "Star Wars," Princess Leia, Fisher was also somewhat of a comedian. Her sense of humor shows up in her 2008 memoir, "Wishful Drinking," where she writes a would-be obituary for herself.

“Now I think that this would make for a fantastic obit -- so I tell my younger friends that no matter how I go, I want it reported that I drowned in moonlight, strangled by my own bra," reads her book.

Fisher was known to have a disdain for bras and has been outspoken about her infamous Princess Leia costume, reports The Huffington Post:

This young teenage singer was shocked when Keith Urban invited her on stage at his concert. A few moments later, he made her wildest dreams come true.

[Director] George [Lucas] comes up to me the first day of filming and he takes one look at the dress and says, "You can’t wear a bra under that dress." So I say, "Okay, I’ll bite. Why?" And he says, "Because ... there’s no underwear in space." I promise you this is true, and he says it with such conviction too! Like he had been to space and looked around and he didn’t see any bras or panties or briefs anywhere.

What happens is you go to space and you become weightless. So far so good, right? But then your body expands??? But your bra doesn’t -- so you get strangled by your own bra.

Fisher suffered a "massive heart attack" and went into cardiac arrest on Dec. 23 while on a flight from London to Los Angeles, according to Vanity Fair.

She was in the middle of a publicity tour to promote her newest book, "The Princess Diarist," a memoir of her experience filming the "Star Wars" movies.

On Dec. 27 her death was formally announced by family spokesperson Simon Halls, who released a statement on behalf of Fisher's daughter, Billie Lourd:

It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning. She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly. Our entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.
