Brave 6-Year-Old Boy Calls 911 And Saves Grandfather's Life (Video)

A 6-year-old boy from North Carolina saved his grandfather’s life after calling 911 while he was having a heart attack.

Trevor Fowler, 6, and Willard Sumner, 84, were alone in their Burlington home at the time of the incident, My Fox 8 reported (video below).

“When it got real bad, I told Trevor to call 911 and that’s when he took over,” Sumner told the news station.

The 6-year-old called 911 and gave the emergency operator, Benny Boggs, all the information he needed to get paramedics to the scene as quickly as possible.

“He was probably one of the best callers I’ve spoke to in a long time,” said Boggs, who stayed on the phone with the boy until EMS arrived. “He kept his composure and if adults could do that, it would be so easy.”

Trevor said there’s a reason why he was able to keep his composure during the 911 call.

“My mom is a diabetic so she keeps telling me how to do it so I remembered,” he said.

Trevor’s mother said she was proud of her boy, whose actions put the family “all over the moon.” She added that Sumner is expected to make a full recovery.

“It just made be very happy that I saved him and I’m happy that he lived,” Trevor said.
